Ditching our trousers for a midi skirt feels like a bad idea the second we step outside.
That is of course, unless you have a pair of fleece-lined tights in your winter wardrobe. They're such a game-changer for cold-weather 'fits, mini skirts are back in our daily outfit rotations. We've even been known to wear them under our jeans on those particularly frosty days when we're in need of some extra insulation...
We're not the only ones who are obsessed. Fleece-lined tights have been racking up millions of views on TikTok – the latest trend following on from the Roman Empire, girl math, and Tube girl – and are all over our FYP. (Millennials, that's the 'For You Page' on TikTok that serves you recommended content and videos).
In case you're not familiar with this cold-weather essential yet, we're here to break it down for you. At first glance, they look like any other pair of tights – coming in various sheer to opaque finishes depending on the style. What makes them extra special is that these leggings are lined with super soft fleece that will actually keep you warm (!!) without adding unnecessary bulk or being noticeably thicker to the naked eye. Though most pairs come in standard black, a few are available in a limited range of flesh tones.
