A Note to Our Community

We want to take a moment to address a serious topic that many of our long-term followers have already been aware of - and that more customers are now beginning to ask about. As our brand has grown, we believe it’s important to continue leading with honesty and transparency.

Competition is a natural part of any market, but transparency, innovation, and integrity have always been core values at Melanin Fleece Tights.

We Are the Original Creators of Our Shade Collection

Melanin Fleece Tights is proud to be the original creator of the well-known shades:

• Chocolate

• Caramel

• Honey

These shades were researched, sampled, and custom-developed specifically for deeper and melanin-rich skin tones, at a time when no such alternatives existed in fleece-lined tights.

Since launching these colors, we’ve noticed similarities between our shade range and the products offered by another brand. While shade names and product ideas can sometimes overlap in the market, the close timing and similarities have understandably raised questions within our community.

Because of those questions, we wanted to openly share what we can speak about:
our work, our process, our originality, and our commitment to authenticity.

Why We’re Addressing This Now

Over the past year, our team has invested in:

• Developing new custom shades for darker skin tones

• Testing and receiving 40+ product samples

• Refining sizes, tones, names, and our brand identity

• Launching new colors in September after extensive development

After releasing these expansions, members of our community began noticing similarities between our products and offerings from a newer brand overseas. Many reached out to us directly, prompting us to be transparent about our perspective and reassure customers of our continued authenticity.

We are not making claims about another brand’s intentions or process.
Instead, we are sharing our experience, our originality, and why your trust matters so much to us.
