Long before fleece-lined tights became widely available in multiple skin-tone shades, we hired Sheila to create content for Melanin Fleece Tights.
At the time, she had never heard of fleece-lined tights like ours. Melanin Fleece Tights was her first introduction to the concept, and she thought the idea was amazing.
As part of our work together, we shared different ways she could demonstrate the versatility of the tights: staying warm while wearing dresses and skirts during the colder months, creating the appearance of sheer tights, and even providing coverage for things like stretch marks and varicose veins.
Those ideas became part of the content she created with our tights.
As more brands entered the market, Sheila eventually began creating content for other fleece-lined tights brands as well. Some of the same use cases and content angles we had originally shared with her, including coverage for stretch marks and varicose veins, later appeared in videos she created while promoting other brands.
But our history with Sheila came first.
Before she began promoting other brands in the category, Melanin Fleece Tights had already introduced her to the concept, provided the tights she was wearing, and shared many of the ways she would later talk about this type of product.
Her initial reaction also captured something important: this was a product that could solve real problems for women who wanted warmth, coverage, and the freedom to continue wearing the clothes they loved.
That need doesn't have an age limit.
